About The Safety Collective

Health and safety looks different depending on who is delivering it. Some businesses get a thick folder of policies they never open. Others get a consultant who visits once, ticks some boxes, and disappears.

The Safety Collective was built around a different idea: that small businesses deserve practical, plain-English support from someone who has actually worked in the environments they are advising on.

I am Dave, the founder of The Safety Collective. I am NEBOSH qualified and an IOSH member, bringing professional standards and a genuine commitment to keeping businesses safe and compliant.

My background in Health and Safety spans education, facilities management, manufacturing and construction across the Northwest. In each of those industries, I worked at the sharp end of compliance, managing contractors, permits, risk assessments, and equipment safety in real, demanding environments. That experience gives me a practical understanding of the pressures business owners face that you do not get from a classroom.

Small businesses in particular are often underserved when it comes to health and safety. The support available tends to be either too expensive or too generic. The Safety Collective exists to change that.

Based in Lancashire and working across the Northwest, I support small businesses, contractors, and growing teams who need reliable H&S expertise without the cost of a full-time hire.
